Party Chief/Geomatics Technician

Universal Surveys Inc. has been providing comprehensive preliminary engineering, legal and construction surveying services to the oil and gas industry since 1986. We are currently looking for a motivated individual to fill a Party Chief/Geomatics Technician position(s) out of our Calgary/Edmonton office(s).
Reporting to the Project Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for:
- The collection and management of field data on legal and construction survey projects.
- The integrity and quality of all field work performed.
- Preparation of field notes, field sketches and digital data through the use of various types of instrumentation and formats.
Requirements:
- Ideally a graduate of a post secondary program related to engineering technologies.
- Have an understanding of legal and/or construction surveying.
- Have experience with the latest survey equipment.
- Experience using Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word and Excel.
Preferred qualities:
- Positive attitude, problem solving skills and attention to detail.
- Acceptable time management skills.
- Ability to adapt to new technologies and software enhancements.
