Junior Draftsperson / Technician

Universal Surveys Inc. has been providing expert computer assisted design and drafting (CADD) services to the oil and gas industry since 1986. We are currently looking for an enthusiastic individual to fill a Junior Draftsperson/Technician position in our Calgary office.
Reporting to the Project Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, checking and distributing plans to internal and external clients.
Other Duties May Include:
- Produce basic survey plan types with appropriate technician and Land Surveyor involvement.
- Develop basic CADD LISP routines.
- Base file mapping and composite plan production with limited supervision.
- Identify and manage plan/survey errors in the CADD environment and interact with technician and Surveyors for their removal.
Requirements:
- Diploma or degree in Drafting or Geomatics.
- CAD experience using AutoCad software.
- Experience using Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word and Excel.
Preferred qualities:
- Positive attitude, problem solving skills and attention to detail.
- Acceptable time management skills.
- Ability to adapt to new technologies and software enhancements.
